Dumbest Op-Ed in Memory

Someone, anyone, explain to me how one can conceivably smart enough to work your way up to the pinnacle of opinion writing, the coveted Op-Ed page of the New York Times and yet so clusterfuck dumb as to write this column?

Seriously.

An Obama-Cheney ticket, even as a metaphor, is so pig-drunkenly stupid someone should cut off Friedman's hands and special laws should be passed making it a capital felony for him to write another word so long as he continues to breathe.

I actually had to hold on to my desk so I didn't fall out of my chair. My jaw gaped. I went through about seventeen cliche responses even double-taking my monitor as though I had misread.

I'm even having trouble responding to this atrocity in print.
