"Oh My Gosh, J is in Heaven!"

That was The Wife's reaction to this line in the inauguration speech:

For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus -- and non-believers.

She said to her co-workers, "I'll bet J just did this" and she raised her hands over her head triumphantly.

Twenty some miles away, I lowered my arms from doing just that. Not often atheists get a positive shout out in a Presidential speech.

Rock on with your bad self, Barack, rock on.

the ironic hilarity is too much to bear.

but since i've been naught but critical, as is my wont, let me just take a moment to say:

Amazing, wonderful, thrilled, euphoric, elated, thankful and other adjectives. My current feeling of lightness, hope, faith that we might be on the right track, that maybe we might see government as a force for progressive good in the world has taken a major vitamin boost with this day.

Be safe, President Obama. Do good.

i believe that the unintentional irony of my statement is lost when use as a headline

Weak, no acknowledgment of the polytheists? Guess the line has to be drawn somewhere.

Wow. That is completely cool.

And I did get the irony of the headline.
