If You Wanna Know

What's going on in Alaska politics (which is for some reason oddly popular right now), then you'll want to regularly check out Mudflats. All the dirt, all the scoops. Consider this video below:

Then you can read the transcript here. Which includes such cheery highlights as this:

“Our current governor, we mentioned at the last conference, the one we were hoping would get elected, Sarah Palin, did get elected. There’s a joke, she’s a pretty good looking gal, there’s a joke goes around we’re the coldest state with the hottest governor. (laughter) And there was a lot of talk about her moving up. She was an AIP member before she got the job as a mayor of a small town — that was a non-partisan job. But to get along and go along — she eventually joined the Republican Party, where she had all kinds of problems with their ethics, and well, I won’t go into that. She also had about an 80% approval rating, and is pretty well sympathetic to her former membership."

Well, that sure seems like yet another whopper of a lie. But really, what can you expect? The far right, for all their religious talk, is the party of lying, lying, and lying about their lying.

Not to mention being the biggest f*cking hypocrites ever. I just loved it that their reaction to SP's daughter being pregnant was "that's a real problem that parents have in today's society. See, Sarah Palin is a real person who understands real family problems!"

Just months ago they were calling Jamie Lynn Spears a whore and making all sorts of fuss about her being a teenage mother, even though she planned to keep her baby. Nice.

The far right is the absolute best at manipluting the facts, stretching the truth, being disingenuous, out and out lying and all that other good stuff. Their leaders should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of the ignorant for their own gains.

I like how the biggest liars on the far right are always, always the ones who tout their religiosity as a reason to believe them and vote for them. The far right has religious belief as a prophylactic down to a freakin' science.
